Meet Maura

As a Registered Dietitian, Integrative Health Coach and avid foodie, I've had the privilege of spending the last decade coaching and empowering individuals to achieve healthier, more vibrant lives through a whole-body, root-cause approach that embraces mindful and intuitive eating techniques.

Since day one, my mission has been to help as many people as possible create the health they dream of. I most recently worked as Facebook’s onsite Nutritionist in Menlo Park, CA where I earned a 100% patient satisfaction from my clients during my two years there; not because I was trying to, but because I genuinely wanted to do anything I could to help them achieve what they set out for. Additionally, I've been lucky enough to provide corporate wellness services to companies like McKinsey & Company, Salesforce, Wayfair, Dwell Magazine, and Lululemon.
As a mom of two babies under two, I also know exactly what it feels like to balance a busy lifestyle while still wanting to nourish my body and mind with ease. I genuinely believe food can be celebrated and eaten mindfully while also helping you become the most vibrant version of yourself.

And I know YOU can achieve this balance too, simply because I’ve witnessed hundreds of my clients accomplish this exact outcome.

Therefore, my new program 'From Restriction to Food Freedom' is truly a labor of love: it's full of all the tips and strategies I've learned over the years that have worked for hundreds of my clients - including myself!
How I fell in love with the field of nutrition:
I was fortunate to grow up in a household where healthy eating and an active lifestyle were prioritized. My parents had an amazing garden in my backyard and from it, my mom prepared nutrient-dense, homemade meals almost every day of my childhood. When other kids were eating pizza and nachos at school, I was eating (what my friends would call) ‘birdseed bread’ with hummus, organic sliced veggies and granola. Though I was envious of my friends’ food at the time, as I grew up I realized how important the influence of nutrition and clean eating was to every aspect of my life. This passion has driven my desire to support individuals, families and team offices to achieve the health, dietary, and lifestyle habits they deserve.
Philosophy on nutrition + wellness counseling:
I'm a firm believer that for individuals to achieve and maintain their health goals with confidence, it’s essential they have the proper tools, resources, insights, individualized support, and evidenced-based knowledge to make this magic happen. I take an integrative, whole-body approach toward nutrition that is personalized for every individual. I emphasize mindful eating and sustainable behavior changes which means I certainly don’t push diets on my clients or sign them up for gimmicky ‘quick fixes’. 

Through education, encouragement, and accountability, I’ve had the opportunity to coach hundreds of individuals through their unique set of barriers and desired health outcomes. It’s been incredibly rewarding to witness my clients’ create gratifying eating habits, gain confidence in their health, explore realistic solutions to achieve and maintain their health goals, and fuel themselves with the highest quality foods in the most efficient way.
